Members sevensinner
If you want to use an audio interface with an Apple notebook, you'll need to go with either 1) Firewire based 2) Cardbus based (PCMCIA) which requires either a 15" or 17" Powerbook or 3) USB based - not the best idea if you want to do more than 2 tracks at a time. On the PC/Windows side, if you want to go with a PCI card, the cheapest prosumer cards are essentially the same as 2 years ago. 1) Echo Mia or Mia MIDI2) M-Audio Audiophile 24/963) Terratec EWX 2496 - probably easier to find in Europe than N. America All are under $200 USD. Spend a little more and the E-mu EmulatorX 1212m looks pretty good.
