Members Midiguy
I'm looking to order the most realistic (I realize this is subjective) piano sample for my Akai S-5000. Any recommendations? Prosonus has a 128 meg sample?
Members b3keys
do you have any MP3s of this sound?
Members alekkh
Prosonus is not recommended. You'll find very inconsistent sample mapping, and several bad samples (e.g. very noisy (!), with clicks (!) in the middle) Overall, it doesn't feel like a piano when you play it. Too bad, I give 2 out of 5, at best. Returned the CD after 1 week of squeezing anything useful. I'd recommend Perfect Piano. Boulder sounds is OK. But a real digital piano such as P80 will beat all of them right away, if you need a good and playable piano sound.
Members Boom
Prosonus Steinway Grand is horrible, definitely avoid it. It sounds like all the samples were ran through a bandpass filter, there is no body to the sound.
Members Boom
If you can use soundfonts I recommend this piano, it's awesome, and free. http://www.soundcreationsinc.com/splendid/index.html

Members Midiguy
Now I'm starting to think I made a mistake by buying the S5000 and should have traded in my Roland JV-2080 for a Fantom or Motif.

This one is the best of them, IMO. Yet, I've never used it since I got the P80.
