Passive pickups into an active onboard preamp. This would make a great second bass for somone who's been playing for a little bit and wants a more hifi kind of sound. The bass is lightweight and comfortable to play. The string spacing is like that of a jazz bass. How does it sound? Well, It definitely has a Jazz-bass vibe to it, especially if you single out the bridge pickup. Turning up the neck pickup has more of a P-bass vibe, especially if you roll back a bit of the tone. Leaving both pickups and the tone control wide open yelds a fat, useful sound with a good slap tone. I'm asking 150+shipping for it, though I will trade it + some cash for a nice bass cab.
