Members pmoran
The only year Fender made a solid black walnut Precision. Active electronics. Gold hardware. It's just like any other vintage Precision but the black walnut and gold hardware make this bass one of the most collectible Precisions of all time. This bass was played by Jaco Pastorius in '82, near the end of his life, during a brief stint he did at the White Lion Tavern in St. Augustine, Florida. The original owner took the bass away from him after loaning it to him because Jaco had pawned all his basses..........and while playing this bass, the owner observed Jaco falling off his stool several times and dinging the headstock on a nearby table. So, this particular '82 Precision comes w/some provenance, as documented by paperwork which will be included w/the bass in the OHSC. OHSC is the original tweed Fender case which is well worn but also quite collectible. Everything is original. Comes w/almost-new GOLD OPTIMA Strings, which are quite expensive. Also included is a gold HIPSHOT DETUNER which you can install if you want. $1600 + $50 shipping & handling, insured. PAYPAL ONLY!!!! NO TRADES. NO OTHER FORMS OF PAYMENT ACCEPTED.
