Members thundernugs
For Sale: 2002 Modulus Quantum 5 Q5 Bass Guitar I love this bass. I bought it brand new from Drumcity Guitarland in Wheat Ridge, CO. I'm moving back to a 4-string and it would be criminal to just have this one just sitting at the house, plus I really need the $. I have babied this bass. I still lives in it's original Modulus hardshell case that is in very good shape. I have had no modifications done to this bass because it has played perfectly from the day i brought it home. Neck - totally straight / Intonation - spot on. When you strap on this bass, you can tell you are holding a quality piece of equipment. Plays smooth and responsive. Sounds great, Plays great, Looks great. I would say it is in excellent, almost mint condition. I used this as my main bass for maybe 150 gigs and it has always performed flawlessly and I get comments on it all the time. It has no dings or wear spots on the front or back of the body. The only cosmetic flaw is a bb-sized spot on the back of the neck (this is on the finish only, not into the neck fiber). Totally invisible and it never bothered me enough to do anything about it. If I am taking the time to point out such a minuscule detail, you know this thing is in good shape. Other than that insignificant spot, this bass is flawless. Bartolini Pickups with NTMB Active EQ 18v Active Preamp 24 Frets 35" Scale Graphite Carbon-Fiber Neck (This bass stays in tune for months) Phenolic Fingerboard Flamed Maple Top (absolutely gorgeous) over an alder body Includes original Modulus hardshell case RETAIL FOR THIS BASS NEW IS over $3000 - I am asking $1650 obo From Modulus: A quantum leap beyond conventional high-end basses. An exquisite bass that combines advanced technology with the finest craftsmanship. A spectacular flamed maple tops its premium alder body. Bartolini pickups with NTMB active EQ serve up the ultimate in tonal range and control. Its neck is a hi-tech marvel, an ultra-rigid D-shaped shell made from dozens of hand-formed layers of aerospace-grade, epoxy-impregnated carbon fibers and fitted with a fast, ultra-smooth phenolic fretboard. The neck's miraculous strength-to-weight ratio and extreme resonant peak produce a remarkably unclouded, even tone. It also transmits sound faster that wood, so articulation and attack dynamics are dramatically enhanced. Includes hardshell case.
