Rock Song - WIP

Hi, im working on a more metalish rock song. The bass and drums are from the Motif - Rack. I sampled all the single hits of one of the drum sets, and arranged them in ACID 4.0. The guitar is a REAL guitar, not from a keyboard.

 

Just looking for some input.

I guess WIP means Work in Progress? If so, I'd agree with that.

 

Your guitar could use some more definition. Sounds pretty scooped in the mids, thus very muddy.

 

Now start screaming over it about how much you hate Christianity and society and you've got yourself a good metal track.

I like the beat, you can dance to it.

 

Actually you'd probably be pretty hard pressed to dance to it, but I still like the beat.

 

I'm not into metal so it's hard to offer much more than that. I don't like the guitar sound very much but it sounds like metal guitar to me.

 

I've got an idea for the lyrics, though:

If you sing it over the music you'll see that it's a perfect fit. Just start after the 4 measure intro, you'll see what I mean.

Yeah that's pretty catchy.

 

 

I agree with Scuby about the guitar, it needs more prescence, it sounds too thin, but the beat and feel of the track are there, with a little work it could be one aggro tune.
