The GE-7 is a must have in the effects chain - you can use it as a solo boost or use it to shape your tone. Stock, the GE-7 is pretty good, the problem is that it is somewhat noisy right out of the box because of lower quality components that Boss uses. With this mod the cheaper noisy op-amp chips are replaced with higher quality chips. The mod also replaces lower quality capacitors reducing noise even more. Clarity is unbelievable.
