The ac-3 has a new reverb feature, and if you have a decent amp, your electric will SHINE with this combo. It sounds absolutely amazing!!! If I wasn't in debt I would keep these but I just can't afford to. $140 for the preamp shipped w/ ac adaptor and box$70 shipped for the Boss w/ box$200 shipped for both Both were purchased new about two months ago, used in a smoke free studio.
