Members FearMeWithMyLP
I know that with 8 polyphony, it's not going to get massively real, but do they at least sound acceptable? I think adding one of these to my guitar rig would be awesome! I like the sound of pads and strings, but don't want to lug around my ex5 all the time (friggin thing is heavy )
Members radiospace
I change the strings on mine every 3 or 4 weeks, so they sound pretty sharp.

Members Birdienumnum
The strings on the Micron are SUPerbDUde, just like the ring modulation on my Steinway B.
Members Yoozer
Strings as in real strings or as in lush string pads?

Welcome to the club. Coolest board EVER! A micron is a bad choice for strings I'd say. But the EX5 IS indeed heavy.
Members SushiFugu
The strings are so-so. They're perfectly fine for "synth strings", but you're not going to come close to real sounding at all. But that's subtractive for you (EX5 owner here too. LOVE IT! My favoritest synth ever.) Members Miket156
Being that the Micron has the same engine as the ION, I'd say it makes good synth strings. If you want REAL strings, you want to get something else. I think the ION does a fair job with some of the factory patches they put on it. I've tweaked a few of them more to my liking, but don't expect the Boston POP's, that's not what it does best. Mike T.
