Members jpeaslee
Wasn't sure where to post this, but does anyone know the cheapest company to ship a guitar internationally with? I'm looking to ship from the us to austria. Also when you ship guitars in a case, how do you guys usually pack them?
Members desceneisvals
USPS should be the cheapest internationally. Pack the guitar firm in the case, and then firm in the box. They key is no movement and maximum cushion. I think there are a couple threads on here or TGP you can search for how to pack a guitar.
Members vangkm
It's a big headache and USPS will be cheapest BY FAR! Overall length + girth must not exceed 108", good luck with that one! I've shipped 2 guitars overseas and just the case itself is already around 100"+. Whatever you do, it will most likely be cheaper if you ship them separately, doesn't make sense, but it probably will be cheaper.

If it is a bolt on, definitely look into shipping it with the neck and the body separate. Just something else that has helped along the line. If not having the case will save tons of cash, most people don't want it.
