It's a GREAT guitar for the money, and with some upgrades it could easily be a great stage guitar for virtually any style. The guitar itself sounds and plays exceptionally well. Its only flaws are the LFR bridge and stock pickups, which actually sound decent. If you upgraded those, you'd have a great guitar for stage or recording. I would do it myself, but I'm a little short on cash... With the bridge blocked the guitar holds good tune.
