Members Geert Hurenkamp
Got a question about the Roland XV2020 module. I'm considering to buy one for live use. I know, no XV5050-like display and all, only 64 voices of polyphony, but it's relatively cheap, and - much more important for me - it's small enough to pack in a bag and easily take it anywhere. And it takes SRX-cards, which is important for me. Pre-gig editing with a computer is no groundbreaking problem for me. I can live with that. Now for my question: Is it possible to set up performances with splits/layers/zones? The manual isn't very clear about it and I never managed to do it with my old JV1010, but a little voice in my head keeps telling me, that it should be possible (and save them as a user performance). I just want to be able to use at least 2 patches at a time using an appropriate controller keyboard, either as splitted or layered performance parts. Setting up performance parts as zones would be even better. Can this be done? Thanks in advance.
Members analogaddict
Sure, it's no problem. In the computer editor, you can either edit patches or performances. I believe it
Members Geert Hurenkamp
Thanks. I bought the XV2020 this afternoon. And yes, I'm editing the performances already. So I think it will all work out just fine.
