Members wrxplayer
HUBER IS SOLD. MELANCON IS ON HOLD. I've got two very special guitars for sale. I prefer a cash deal but would consider a trade for a very special solid body guitar or amp or perhaps a cheap junior + cash. Best to email me with questions at jimicoltrane@gmail.com. First up is my Nik Huber Orca Junior. This is serial number 1 for those who like this stuff. This is the most resonant guitar I've ever played and perhaps the nicest I've owned. It will just not get played enough by me to keep. The P90 is tappable giving the player a really nice way to take some of the P90 edge off. The guitar is in great shape with no dings. Here's the description provided by previous owner/dealer: CRAZY cool guitar! 6lbs-14oz...no fretwear...nonsmoking...just VERy light surface contact wear. Perfect '59 LP profile neck. KORINA BODY & NECK with BRAZILIAN BOARD! .... Neck profile's a but chunky but not huge--not as fat as the chubby on my '52 tele RI. It feels great. I think the scale is 25.5". More relevant info: - Brazilian Rosewood Fingerboard - - Ebony Headstock Veneer - - Sperzel Tuning Pegs w/ Ebony Buttons - - Nik Huber Stoptail Bridge - - Huber/Haussel P90 Dogear "tapped" Includes beautiful OHSC. Price is $1950 paypal'd and shipped CONUS. Save $50 for cash and another $50 for pickup in central NJ. The other guitar is a Melancon Custom Artist strat style. It's serial #912 and the build sheet is below. The top on this guitar rivals the beauty of burst top Les Pauls and give the appearance of a carved top. Pickups are custom wound by Gerard Melancon and sound great as well. I don't have the specs but I'd guess they have a bit more output than Fralin Hot Blues but I wouldn't call them high output single coils by any means. The ONLY reason I'm selling is because I'm not a neat person. If I keep this guitar I will eventually, and likely fairly soon, nick up the top. And that would be a big shame. I should have realized that before buying it but it's too late for that. Price is $1800 shipped and paypal'd. Again, $50 discount for cash and another $50 for local pickup in Central NJ. FWIW, I'm "nycbiddingfool" on ebay and have lots of references.
