Hm. I don't have a guitar to put those EMGs in, but I'll probably take them this friday anyway

 

 

Will give me a full set for a strat plus a full set for an HH guitar. :D

 

 

Also, I've never used a D-tuna, but I assume since they're designed for E -> Drop D, they probably won't work for D -> Drop C because of the tension differences, right?

I'm pretty sure the D-Tuna will work for D -- > C but I can do some looking to check on it.

Yes... the PA-2 boost switch is included.

if you set it up correctly you will not have any problem in any tuning. remember that the strings have to be completely stretched. the tension points in them, like in the saddle and the nut, must be lubricated to prevent friction (a drop of 3 in 1 in those parts do the trick). also it helps if you have a tremol-no or trem setter installed

I'm pretty sure it will work... I use the bridge adjustment screw on my Kramer to play standard D and then adjust it down to Drop C with just the screw... It's pretty close, but if you tune it correctly - it works.
