Members sixstring531
These are it ladies and gentlemen. Original 1984 Tim Shaw Gibson humbuckers from a 1984 Gibson Les Paul Custom. They have been living in my PRS for a while now and I am think of going somewhere else (got GAS). These are hard to come by and highly sought after PAF pickups and flatout sound awesome. There is much discrepancy surrounding real Shaws, well, these have the stamps with research (by me, the guy who sold them to me and a guitar tech) and are Gibson Tim Shaw humbuckers. Besides the serial stamp and metal stamp pat #, they came from an 84 Les Paul and read around 7.4 and 7.6. They sound just like the Shaws in my 1983 Les Paul Standard - so take faith in knowing you're getting the real deal. They have golden covers, which are starting to fade on the edges (looks awesome) and there is plenty of lead left for their respective spots in the guitar. Right now on ebay pairs are going for close to $600 - Well, I gotta deal, so I'm giving a deal. I will do $315 obo shipped for both or trade (money may need to be added) for another set of PAFs. What I'm looking for: PRS 59/09 or 08 set Fralin PAF set Lollar PAF set Wolftones basically another higher end PAF set that is not too gainy. I like em to sound old, so no fire breathing demons.
