Members bjohnston
Here's a video (not mine): And here's the Ebay listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fender-Telecaster-Custom-FSR-1972-RI-w-P-90s-Sunset-Orange-Mint-/161093996076 Mint (genuinely like new) condition. Low hours, and stored in a professional studio. Recent setup done by the pros at Buffalo Bros in Carlsbad, CA. Ash body. The only correct choice for this setup. The color is called Sunset Orange, but it's much more vermillion in person, like a Shaolin Temple [3] . The cream binding is pretty rad too. Nice touch. Maple (C shape) neck with Rosewood fretboard. Awesome switching setup like a Deluxe, but the two P-90s make it more versatile. 3-way Switch: Bridge, Bridge and Neck, Neck Nobs: 2 Volume, 2 Tone Bridge: Vintage Style 6-Saddle Hard-Tail Bridge Pickguard: 3-Ply Black/White/Black Pickups: 2 P-90TM Super smooth, feels nice and balanced. I'm not an expert on the details, and information on this thing is surprisingly hard to find, but I definitely prefer this C-shape neck in combination with the old-school frets to the modern Tele any day. Plus the rosewood fretboard is nice and flat, very 'feel-able'. It's hard to explain, but you'll see what I mean. This is a rare guitar (~300 total), but it's not a collectible (yet?), and at least in the USA market, I can't find much beyond anecdotal pricing data. The only real precedents are from the UK: ~$900 in late 2012, ~$1100, and~$1100 new. It's MIM. If you end up finding it for sale, or some additional information somewhere, let me know! Just testing the waters. Looking to grow my studio setup, so this might be a good opportunity to trade if you have some unique and/or interesting recording gear. SOLD!
