Members Chickensteak
EDIT: I got home, and found the serial. Turns out it's a 1951 D-28. Figured i'd post this on here as well. This is the same post as it is on Craigslist. Hello, this is David Houston Jr. I am selling my father's favorite guitar, it's the same one he used when he played on the Grand Old Opry, and other shows he did. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't think about selling it, to me it's priceless. But i'm in a situation with college, and I need money for tuition, etc. My mother told me she had been offered $5,000 before, but i'm sure it's worth more than that. I know this guitar has been played by Johnny Cash, and George Jones, along with my father. I believe it's a Martin D9, but I know nothing about guitars. I can take pictures if anyone wants them. I'm not home at the moment, but once I get home i'll update this with the correct model number and i'll also put some pictures in. But please get back to me, other wise i'll just put it on Ebay. My number is 318-780-1095. Thanks, David.
Members WaveRay
David, Look up in the soundhole at the base of the neck. It will have info there. Usually the model and the serial number. That info will help a lot to whomever might be interested.
