Members Karma1
I've got a Triton Rack and a Kurzweil K2000R (latest software ver. and maxed ram - 64mb).I've been a synth tweaker for years, but have not really ventured into sampling. I'm just wondering which of these two units most people would choose to learn to sample on. A major consideration is user-friendliness - the easier the better. I realize the trend is away from hardware sampling and towards software, but I'd like to get my feet wet with one of these and start building a library of samples. I'm sure they are fairly close in sound quality, although the Triton is newer technology. Are there any particular features that would make one or the other a better choice to work with for sampling. I'd appreciate any opinions.
Members Big Fish
On the Triton you have the ability to Time Stretch and Time Slice. You can also take a Sample and put it on a grid so that you can take parts of a sample accurately by note value. I think it would be easier to get around on.
