Members bonaire
I'm no expert but I am stringing it like I learned on www.wholenote.com in their beginner lessons area. http://www.wholenote.com/cgi-bin/page_view.pl?l=577 It brings the string counter-clockwise and under so it can lock during the 1st turn. Seems like it only needs 1/2 to 3/4 total wind to lock it down and this makes for possibly less string stretch over time (that's the author's theory). It doesn't cause 3-6 total winds and thus far less string wrapped around the post.

When i tried this on my electric a few years back, kinking the string 90 degrees like he suggested broke the string while it was winding at that point. Maybe I did it wrong, but it seems wrong for thin strings. --Mike
