I mean, it's okay for me now, I guess, since I'm just starting out on guitar, but I can already read music, so standard notation wouldn't be difficult for me. If so I would get a fake book. They have tons of songs compiled into one song. I read music as well. (bachelors degree in music education.) Don't discount tablature. Use everything that makes it easier on you. I have some guitar pieces that take a very long time to read in notation because the positions of where you are supposed to play these notes keep changing.
