Members FX doctor
What are the notes in it and what numbers are in a +7 chord in general. I seemed to me to be a Bmaj and then adding a 7, but wouldn't that be Bmaj7 then? Help me out please. I have a gig tomorrow!
Members thamiam
The '+' sign usually means an augmented chord, which has a raised fifth and a major 7th. So in B: B D# Fx (G) A# See the 'wholetone scale' thread for ideas on soloing over augmented chords.

Raised fifth and maj7 is "maj7 #5" or "#5 maj7" (schools out on which is correct). 7 without the maj prefix implies dominant (b) 7.

While 7 without the maj usually means dominant 7th, in the case of a seventh on top of an augmented triad, it is common to assume that a major 7th is called for. But that's simply one style of chord notation, everybody seems to do things a little different. I'll agree that the notation you described is more consistent that the one I posted.
