Members TeRM
Hey Guys, I'm at a stage in my playing now that I'm looking to expand my solos and general playing beyond the basic minor based riffs that I've been playing. I was wondering if you guys could give me any tips/tricks for incorporating the major scale into my blues/rock playing. Can you recommend any specific songs/players with great usage of the major scale in blues or rock??? Any other info??? Thanks a ton!
Members gennation
Bingo, right here. Just follow the link to the Advanced Pentatonic tutorial. It'll show how the Major and the Minor are used together. Just take it slowly though, it is Advanced.

Members rjken1969
For your listening pleasure I would recommend the Allman Bros. This was something both Dickey Betts and Duane Allman did frequently. The often used the major scale, and the pentatonic major scale in there playing. The list goes on and on, but they are the stand out when I think about the major scale being used in blues based rock.
