The website sounds like BS, but I happened upon a copy of this for free, and it seems like it could be really eye opening stuff. Instead of straight up teaching you the major scale, it teaches you how the pattern works and lets you map it out yourself. At first, i thought; Meh, i've got the major scale pretty much down, this wont be too usefull. Then i skipped ahead a few lessons, and found the lessons on triads and intervals. The way everything is explained in 'micro grids' is fantastic. I think with some work this could really help build a mental map of the fretboard.
