Members wert
I got all the chords to that song and it sounds really correct but that part .In the key of E what would they be ? I did a xmas album one year and I did that song and faked my way through that part . If I do it agin Id like it to be perfect .
Members JonR
E is not the easiest key for this song, but here ya ago anyway (entire sequence!): A1 |E - F#m7 - |G#m7 - F#m7 - |E - E7 - |A - G#7+ - | |C#m - Am6 - |G#m7 - A#m7 D#7|G# - Am7 D7 |G - F#m7 B7 | A2 |E - F#m7 - |G#m7 - F#m7 - |E - E7 - |A - G#7+ - | |C#m - Am6 - |E - F#13 - |G#m7 C#7 F#m7 B7 |E - - - | B |Bm7 - E7 - |Bm7 - E7 - |Bm7 - E7 - |Amaj9 - - - | |Am7 - D7 - |G - - - |C#m11 - F#7 - |F#m7 - B7 - | A3 |E - F#m7 - |G#m7 - F#m7 - |E - E7 - |A - G#7+ - | |C#m - Am6 - |E - F#13 - |G#m7 C#7 F#m7 B7 |E - - - | The line you want is in bold (the melody note is an F# on all 4 chords). There's a simpler version here:http://www.ralphpatt.com/VB/c11.html - but you need to transpose it from Eb. (and the above chords are nicer!) Members wert
thank you , I will give the C# m11th a try and the F# 7th in that particular sequence ,I was already using the last two chords . I got lucky with this song . I just sat down with my guitar and most those chords you have written are the ones I was already using `cept I neglected the 6th note in the Am chord and was using a E major 7th a lot when I thought it sounded good .
