Members JonR
G'day Just trying to work out B7#5#9Any one have a preferred fingering ?Technically speaking a #5 on a B chord is Fx (F double sharp) - but yes it's the same thing as a G in practice. Here's the shape I'd probably use: -3- G = Fx = #5-3- D = Cx = #9-2- A = b7-1- D# = 3-2- B = root--- Barre top 2 with pinky. Here's another: -10- #9-8- #5-8- 3-7- b7-x--7- R Thumb on root, barre 8th fret with middle, pinky on 10. Use whichever one is closest to the chords before and after. (Or move the other chords to be close to this one.) NB: a jazz player will often leave the root out, because the bass player handles that.

I also like these: -x- -15- (#9)-12- (#5)-13- (3rd)-12- (b7)-x- and -x--8- (#5)-7- (#9)-7- (b7)-6- (3rd)-x-

(Although the root isn't available in the first one, if that matters.)Both could be handy if the other chords are in that region of the neck.Always good to have alternative shapes for the same chord!
