Members scuzzo Posted July 28, 2009 Members Share Posted July 28, 2009 ok i get it, the plug in the world hates us,, nuff said,, but i think the emulations guitar rig 3 and amplitube provide are quite astounding.. very very good.. and great for my purposes.. now my rig consists of PODxt>Guitar Rig 3.. and i think it works quite well.. enough for my purposes anyhow.. so good infact an wish or a traditional amp is pretty much gone.. here is a cool tip for folks who have a pod and guitar rig.. run Gear box at the same time as guitar rig 3.. like this Guitar>PODxt>Gear Box>Rig 3 it gives you some very intersting control over your sound.. some of the combinations are sad and stupid but some are quite nice.. not so much high gain amps but the tube cleans and the post and pre stomp boxes and compressors and noise gates sound more detailed.. and stuff is given a bit of a more refined tone.. mho... any way.. it will be worth the bother.. believe me... you may check my sound page for examples of guitar rig 3 and podx examples. hacky playing aside... its pretty good tone Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
