Members diamond_sea
So I'm sending MIDI to Max with the GI-20 and using mtof to then control things like FM synth, sine waves, sawtooth waves, etc. The thing is that I want to be able to track string bends and vibrato as well to adjust the frequencies of these synth sounds. The GI-20 does send pitchbend messages when I bend the strings etc. And I have good objects set up to convert pitchbend values using an exponential function. The only problem is that the numerical bendin message just seems to remain at its last value even after I stop bending the string. It will just stick at 63 until I play another bend or vibrato. So I think that in order to map this onto audio, what I need to do is find an object that outputs the differences between the last two numerical messages received. This seems straightforward but I can not find an object that does this. If someone has experience with this I would really appreciate the help.
