Members mygolfcart123
Which of these processors is the best for effects for guitar? I know about the axe fx ultra and have heard samples of it and it sounds amazing, but what about the Eventide H8000FW? Is it better? Worse? Or simply different? It is very hard to find samples of this unit, but from what I have read, it is used in a lot o0f major recording studios the same as the axe fx is. So what are the differences? What does each unit do that is different from the other? I DO know the Eventide H8000FW goes for about $5,000.00 while the axe fx ultra cost about $2,000.00 but other than the differences in price, what else is different? Members Disco Cat
The Axe FX is an amp simulator. Does the Eventide simulate amps, or is it strictly an effects processor? I'd guess the Eventide would be possibly superior for effects, but definitely vastly more in number since effects are its purpose, whereas the effects on the Axe are extras next to the amp simulations.
