Members Nitefly7
My Parker Nitefly has passive piezo's, putting out a very weak signal: EQ'ing it in the board gives good results, but I need a preamp to eleminate noise and to be able to drive the DI i'm using... I know BOSS's AD-5 is a acoustic piezo preamp (w/ chorus and 'verb), but I can get my hands on a 2nd hand AD-3 The AD-3 is stated as "acoustic processor", does this mean that it isn't suited as a preamp?? Plus, what do you think of the Behringer ADI21, or Tech21's para-acoustic DI-RIPOFF.. ? Thanks for you time!
Members red_riviera
The AD-3 is a very good little box for the money. Certainly more user friendly than the AD-5 or AD-8. All you need are 'top' and 'bottom' adjustments. Nice reverb and stereo chorus. auto feedback killer is a bonus, but not that you'll preally need it. The only acoustic processor I've found that is better, is the (now discontinued) Yamaha AG-Stomp.
