Members RR LTD Jackson Posted June 18, 2005 Members Share Posted June 18, 2005 I just bought my last tool for my Rack. A TC Electronics G Major . But how to I properly hook it up in my chain ? Using a Korg Rack tuner, with a Mesa Road king Head. The instructions in the manual are vage, and dont show my set up. Guitar to Korg Tuner IN Tuner OUT to Balanced INPUT on G Major. Gmajor Balanced OUTPUT to head input (front face of head. I know this has to be wrong, and I tried going from Balanced OUTPUT to a LOOP input in the rear of the head, but got no signal thru the head, or cab. So I placed the OUTPUT to the front face input of the head. I cant use channels 1 or 2, but it works in channels 3 and 4. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Members Hunting_Sad_Bears Posted June 18, 2005 Members Share Posted June 18, 2005 does the roadking have a stereo or mono effects loop? in either case, have the guitar plug into the roadking, and the Effects Loop out(s) go into the Balanced Inputs of the GMajor. then have the GMajor's Balanced Inputs go to the FX Return of your head. if you are running it in mono, have your GMajor set up in mono, and the balanced Right output go to the tuner. or, if your amp head allows you to, send an audio out to the tuner from there. do NOT have your tuner in the signal chain. it will add godawful noise.
