Members packrat
I'm just wondering if anyone out there has been playing with windows MIDI applications under parallels on an intel mac. I'm not too concerned with perfect real-time peformance, since the applications I would plan to run are typically going to be editors for various bits of obscure hardware. How does the MIDI routing work? What sort of routing options exist? Are you limited to a single interface (like some are reporting audio to be) B>

Members syncretism
i'm gonna guess no one here's tried it, yet.
Members packrat
Probably right, but what I want is for anyone with an intelmac thing to go out and try! I recall a couple of folks muttering about using various PC DAW packages on the intelmacs, with any luck, they'd actually be trying to do something very similar. Members program_insect
I haven't attempted that yet, but as a worst-case solution, you could get two cheap usb midi interfaces, send midi out on usb from within the parallels environment, and loop it on a midi cable back into the os x environment....this is what is known in the industry as a "no good dirty god damn hack".
