Members jazzbo
I ws thinking about trying a tube pre-amp on a clean no-drive setting between POD and PA to see if it might warm things up. Any suggestions?

Members Jaymeister
I recall seeing one pro rig somewhere with POD Pros in it with a tube preamp. I got the impression that it was not worth it, and that in a live setup you could accomplish more with EQ and dialing in the unit properly for the volume that it is being played at. I already have the POD and the PA, and it actually sounds very good, I can dial in all kinds of sounds. But when I listen to the Vox Tonelab it sounds better. The Tonelab uses digital modelling up front and a tube output stage so I thought maybe some kind of tube pre or EQ between the little mixer I use and the PA might be a nice addition to my rig for low cost.Like maybe a Presonus tube pre or an EH LPB 2ube or something.
