I think most of their good stuff stays for the domestic market they are like that with {censored}ing professional film too! My fave Fuji slide film Velvia 50 got replaced ( 50 is still out there for a few years yet though ) with a new 100 rating called 100F. But what happened is that the colours of the 100F aren't as dynamic as the original 50 but we find out later that there is another 100 ( not 100F just plain 100 ) that is being kept for the Jap domestic market that has the characteristics of the original 50 that allot us Landscapers in the west love! So why the {censored} don't we get the rich palette 100 like they do? Well it's been a few years coming but it seems like we may be getting it soon. On another note I believe that there are some kinds of deals with Fender about how much market share they ( MIJ Fender ) are allowed to take up within the US domestic market ... it's all trade bull{censored} etc. I would buy MIJ any day of the week and I plan to. Members thebazaar
Christ im bored. Ill rate all the new entries from Rob onwardsRob:Guitar-Very nice and concise. LP, Tele, Strat. I will say no more words against Kramers. 10 for flying the strat flagAmps: AC15, Marshall Major, JTM45...throw in a twin and you have 4 of my favourite amps ever there. 10 of courseEffects-9. Not a big fan of the tonecores, esp the trem. But the dl4 was great and the echo looks cool. Dont like volume pedals either. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------NewsdudeVery bluesy rig. 7/10. Good but not inspiring...and no fuzz!-----------------------------------------------------------------------------Bbreaker-Simplicity done well. Trem, OD/Dist/Boost/fuzz. Cool guits and 80's marshalls are cool. 9/10. 4 expandoras woul earn you a Gibbons-style 10...especially if you grew the beard. Was an 8 until you added the Matchless!!!! My 5th fave amp!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------Jcn-Guitars: 10/10. Sweet lookin tele, and nice ibanez. Amp:6/10. Not a peavey fan. Effects-Phase 100 is nice, good choice of marshall stompers. 9/10---2 Eq's lost you the point. I hate eq's-------------------------------------------------------------------------------Jim-10/10. Very serious gear. Close to what my pedalboard came to looking like as well. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Nosebleed-wouldnt be a rig for me, but ill rate it a fair 6. Im an effects snob, my apologies for that. My ownership of the Muff, Phase 90, Ge7 and OD2 did not yield happy relationships. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Kriegs...same applies. Cool trem, drive and delay. Nice axe. Have a solid state marshall. Could never go back to it. 7/10---------------------------------------------------------------------------------TeethGuitar-very cool guitars. Tokai and Epi do great jobs. SG with bigsby-very sweet. 8/10Amps-Sovtek stack 9/10. Big fan. Not so much of Traynors, but Sunn cabs. Very cool. 8/10Effects-Wanna try a sweet. One of the few frantones im yet to fall in love with. Very cool. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------Boxhandler. Guitar:10/10. Amp: I like Mesa's. Not a fan of the aussie price tag, but cool amps. Nomad has a better clean than the Rectifiers have. 9/10Effects: Great wah and trem, funk and octaves, plus a DL4. Probably the best covered "per pedal" setup on the board. 9 for that. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------SasGuitars:10/10. Members Roy Brooks
I really like the guitars I have now. Thebazaar mentioned that if I got a Stratocaster I would be an 11 on my guitars. Actually, I don't own a Stratocaster because I just don't care for them. If I do get another guitar it will most likely be a pretty decent parlor guitar or maybe a particularly nice Gretsch. I bought my Echoone from GC about four years ago, right after they started carrying Gibson again. Had it marked down from 600 or so to 275.00 Picked it up and had Players Music install my bigsby.
