Members insanemonkey Posted September 1, 2005 Members Posted September 1, 2005 I'm looking into doing this and am curious about what the results will be. The amp I currently use (tech 21 trademark 60) has a clean channel (which also does overdrive) and a dirty channel. I use the clean channel for cleans and sometimes leads. The dirty channel used for heavier rhythms and sometimes leads. However, due to the nature of the amp, when the clean channel's gain is turned up it gets really compressed thus making it hard to get a clean sound by rolling back the volume. I know that Trey Anastasio might have used two TS9s at the same time, and his lead tone is sort of similar to the one I am getting out of my amp. Would two BMs work for me?
Members AcousticControl Posted September 1, 2005 Members Posted September 1, 2005 i'm pretty sure that SRV dude used 2 TS'es as well, so i don't see why 2 BM's wouldn't work for ya.
Members PB Wilson Posted September 1, 2005 Members Posted September 1, 2005 Trey definitely used two Tubescreamers on his pedalboard. Analogman modded them if I'm not mistaken and he might have some info for you.Another user of the dual-TS setup is the missing-in-action Fernmeister.
Members surfcat Posted September 2, 2005 Members Posted September 2, 2005 I've used a Tube Screamer and a Fulldrive II with good results-don't know why it wouldn't work.
Members Durango_Kid Posted September 2, 2005 Members Posted September 2, 2005 Kenny Wayne had 2 tubscreamers on his board this summer but 1 was an 808 and 1 was a ts9. I don't think he ever ran both at the same time though.

Members guitarcapo Posted September 2, 2005 Members Posted September 2, 2005 I sometime turn on my Keeley TS-9 and my Tonebone at the same time. Not bad for lead guitar.
