i like the daddyo cuz you can easily get the sound of a samll 50s overdriven amp with a speaker that's about to crap out.

of course that's the same reason others hate it.

also: 3 tone knobs? yes please!

sounds like a modern overdrive to me not a fuzz or a distortion but it feels like it fills out your sound a lot more than you'd expect an overdrive to do.

at lower gain settings it does sound more OD vintage.

higher gains with scooped mids and cranked treble/bass get you a distortion/almost fuzz sound.

btw mogwai loves em

and...

mogwai loves you.

yesssssssss!

Danno Daddy-o is my main distortion/overdrive. I think at max it has a fuzzy characteristic, and can be made to sound sludgy as hell:

vol:1 o'clock

bass: all the way up

Mids: all the way up

treb: 1 o'clock

overdrive: 3 o'clock

i also boost mine with a TS-9.

Awesome sounding pedal! It's cool to see others enjoying it too!

I've had mine now since around 1998 i think.

Whats the guitar?

Whats the Mic?

Squier '51 stock

2x12" marshall cab w/V30s

Samson R11 mic

fast track audio interface

recorded in garbage - I mean garage band

I think I did hit this with a boost about halfway through, probably a SD-1.

Sounds ace fair play.

I've just started messing around with recording at home. Someone at work gave me cubasis because they hated it and I've only just started using it.

I don't have a mic yet so my PC is sitting in the FX Loop of my Ashdown Combo. Sounds ok but I need to start thinking about getting some better stuff.
