Members starfish
Anybody see this 10 part documentary from 2002? It was originally broadcast on Play UK, now defunct satellite tv station. It's been posted in its entirety at: a.b.documentaries more info... Pretty cool footage from early UK punk, much of it obscure in the US. The last couple segments spend too much time on unimportant, and dare I say anti-punk watered down major label crap. Lots of memorable quips from Lydon. Recommended viewing!

Members starfish
Have you ever used binary newsgroups? a.k.a. Usenet (in oldspeak)... You'll need a few things: 1.) A fast connection (broadband - the broader the better) 2.) A Giganews account (they're the best, don't bother with anyone else) 3.) A newsreader program (Thoth for Mac, Agent seems to be preferred for PC) 4.) A par/rar/unrar program. (Mac- MacPar, or PC- SmartPar) 5.) Aptitude for trying new things You'll receive: Pandora's box of music, movies , pron, stuff you never imagined nor have a squirt of chance getting with P2P filesharing. The door has been opened.... Oh, and Newzbin makes it much easier to find stuff. Get a free account there and you can search back farther than 7 days. Optional but helpful to have: 1.) DVD/CD burner combo. Roxio Toast/EasyCDCreator 2.) Capability to play a wide range of formats (VCD, SVCD, DivX, Xvid, AVI, WMV, ASF, MP3, DVD VOB, etc.) 3.) Upgrade your home DVD player to a $65 Phillips which plays all these formats as well as your computer can. With all the stuff you will find and burn, it's more comfy to watch on the tube, or maybe it's time for an iPod video thingy...
