Members Blungo
That i've ever played is the $50 "Spooktone" fuzz i just won on ebay. Nice guy too. I guess he has a stock of old 60's components trannys and such. It's even a tad fuzzier than the Big Cheese, a bit closer to the Bee-Baa. $50 well spent IMHO. Members zhivago
maybe a Superfuzz clone of some sort?
Members Blungo
No, it doesn't have the octave in it like a super fuzz. After playing with it a little longer, i realize it's very close to the cheese. I was switching between them and often got confused as to which was on. I'm pretty sure this is and old design that's been around for a while or something this guy came up with. I don't think it's a big cheese clone at all (he never mentions the b.c. in his ads). It's housed in a circuit box. Anyhow, i highly recomend this to anyone lookinng for the big cheese sound (without the versatility of the various eq/bias settings) on the cheap. Members Blungo
Just recieved a corespondence from the builder, he says it's based on a circa 63 circuit from the UK.It's only two trannies though. Could that be some kind of early tonebender circuit?
