Members D Scott
What is the consensus on the TS-9 DX. I'll assume that it can mimick the TS-9, but, what about the other higher gain modes?
Members booher
I usually don't use the TS-9 setting. I think I use the + setting a lot. I like mine, though. But I think it'd be better with a more pronounced bass mod.

The TS-9DX's modes don't actually affect the gain the pedal can produce in any way save through the clipping diodes. "+" adds bass but uses standard clipping, Hot adds more Bass and volume by using LEDs for clipping and turbo adds yet more bass and volume by having no clipping diodes. Effectively a boost mode. Members 66_skylark
The TS-9 DX with the Analogman Silver mod and Mode mod is an excellent pedal..

Members kgbkevo
I have tried both the ts9 and the ts9dx. I dont think the extra features is worth the extra $.IMO I'd suggest getting the normal ts9 then modding it
Members booher
...it's like 10 bucks more. I bought mine for the same price as a TS9 new.
Members Europa760
i tried one, i didnt notice that it did anything gain wise. i just noticed that it got louder as it turboed. that aside, id recommend you look at a barber direct drive or barber SS. whats that you say? its a better pedal and its CHEAPER.take a look
