Members dkitts2002
Hello, I'm considering laying down the hefty amount of money it takes to buy a Boss DR-880. My band is possibly going to start playing out more and my venerable XP-50 sequencing keyboard lacks in the drumming department. I'm considering the DR-880 because of the built in efx processor for guitar (a GT-6 engine). It looks handy for practice, at the least. Has anyone actually played guitar through one of these and worked in depth with the efx? If so can you use the DR-880 to change efx at a certain point in a song? Members vamp hunter d
if I'm not mistaken, i belive you can use an external midi controller to switch patches and such. I know for a fact you can use the dr-880 as a midi controller, but I'm quite sure you can do it vice versa as well. As far as effects go, they aren't bad at all. The amp modeler as far as I'm concerned is quite impressive. I mean, there are better out there, but for having that, drum sounds, a sequencer, and bass pads, its good in my book. Members fractal
If you go here you can download the manual. I know you were probably searching for a quick answer, but I've never tried this. I can say that the sounds are decent enough - especially for practicing.
