Members depulse
I've tried getting hold of a MKS-70 (the ultimate pad sytnth IMO, I used to have a JX-10 before) but found nothing in Europe for a decent price (I can get a M1000 for around $250 vs at least $500 for a MKS-70). What about the Matrix-1000. How does it stack up to the JX10/MKS70 for pads? Anyone has any experience from these two and can give a comment? Members Sealed
I have both.MKS-70 is a strong pad machine, especially because of the Roland chorus. It can layer two tones to make sounds thicker, though it has no PWM. Matrix-1000 can do more complex things. Though it has no cross modulation of JX, Matrix has filter-FM, PWM and Matrix modulation that produce complex texture. I like MKS-70 for the sweetness of the sounds, but I like Matrix-1000 for better synthetic capabilities.

Matrix is a fine synth on it
