Octave widths on your average EQ pedal

I think they're supposed to be just wide enough to cover up to the next frequency without overlapping. If that's true, check out the frequency of the sliders. I'm sure you understand that the width depends on the frequency, and all that non-linear stuff, concidering you're talking in terms of octaves.

OK thanks
my trouble is is that my only knowledge of widths is with software parametric EQ's I use for mixing. The 'Q" is adjustable.
I just want to know. Of course I play around with it till it sounds good. But I wanna know!
THanks

Like Danelectro Fish/Chips, Boss GE7, etc ?

Couldn't get live people over at Danelectro

The average Q of the Boss GE7 sections is about 3.5
