Do you know if that's how they were in the very beginning? Do you have a revision on your base plate? For comparison, mine is Rev. B and the internals look the same, no battery door etc. Ya, I've been looking at other peoples budda wahs and mine does seem different . The bottom plate of mine is just chrome. No writing whatsoever. Maybe an early one? Replaced base plate? Buy it and you can check it out for yourself . They really do sound great though don't they.
