The AD-900 needs 12vDC with a reverse polarity plug (center positive instead of negative, which is the normal polarity). There's no real way to compensate for the lower voltage. The AD-900 might work with 9 volts, but probably not very well (you might get distorted repeats and other idiosyncracies).

The Holy Grail needs quite a bit of current (about 250mA IIRC), and doesn't seem to like digital switching supplies like the Godlyke/1spot. I don't think there's anything special you need to do, other than make sure the supply has enough current for it + the other pedals in the chain. But if you power it from a switching type supply it can start whining (literally - it's a high-pitched whine that is pretty annoying).
