Boss MT-2 VS Boss DS-1

I can't use my MT-2 anymore. The sound is just to ''metalic syntetic'' for me. I've a friend who wants to trade me is DS-1 for it.

Any deal? I'm playing some metal stuff and ACDC, iron maiden,Metallica.

I would say get the DS-1 and then send it off to Keeley or Analogman to make it sound more like a Marshall stack, if that's your thing of course.

I don't want to get it modded. It's gonna cost a lot because I'm from canada. anyway, I'm not looking for a Marshall sound.

All I want is a 5150 sound. But well, nothing can sound like the real thing.

i don't think the ds-1 sounds too terrible on a cranked tube amp, but there are definitely better options out there i think. i use a ds-1 currently, i'd like to get rid of it eventually, but i'm not sure what i'd put in place of it.
