Members jumpduck
Hey, guys, just bought a Boss NS-2 noise suppressor. I play in a very small, quiet venue, using a 79 Fender Princeton Reverb, but with a lot of pedals to try and approximate the tones of the songs they want me to do. The rig is Strat thru the Princeton. Pedals are a TS-9, an old TS-10(for dirty rythmn tones), a Boss BD-2(for simpe boost), Boss Chorus, Boss EQ, and an old Cry-baby.The question is, to reduce the undesirable noise(the TS-9 is used for very overdriven lead tones, and causes most of the noise/hum problems), how should I set the signal chain up? I will experiment, but if anyone knows whether to set the NS-2 in the front or the back of the chain, I'd appreciate the benefit of your knowledge. Thanks. Members liveloveshare
i have found that with the boss noise reduction unit you lose a lot of "umph" when placed directly in front of OD's or in your case a tube screamer.. unless set moderartely.. just be prepared for that. So, would it be better to put the unit behind driver, or would that defeat the purpose? BTW, thanks for the response.
