Members deadringer Posted March 10, 2006 Members Share Posted March 10, 2006 I gig with an ME-50 regularly. It a pretty damn good little unit overall. Very user friendly with wonderfull controls. As far as distortions, it has some very good ones IMO. However, in my experience ANY really high gain distortion that comes from a pedal or processor is going to be noisy. In that respect the ME-50 is the same as others. So, to sum up, it has tons of very usable distortions that WILL get noisy when you crank the drive up to 8 or 10. I love mine for the versitility and ease of use and would not get rid of it for nothing. I use the tubescreamer setting, the RAT and the DS-1 the most.
