Members peavey2112
Man, I'm having trouble with the easiest of things, What settings exactly do you use to get a good delay for solos? No matter what I try the delay is too fast or strong. It seems to me that maybe I don't like this pedal too much. My digitech rp300 worked better! Members hk_usp9f
Try these as a starting point: E. Level - 9 o'clock F. Back - 12 o'clock D. Time - 11 o'clock Mode - M Usually less is better. Having a subtle echo helps fatten the sound.
Members murch33
I like a lot of feedback on my Keeley DD-3, so I think mine is set at: Effect Level: 2:00 Feedback: Dimed Delay: 11:00 (I think) Mode: L EDIT: I should mention that since it's the Keeley modded one, I've got the 3-way switch on analog and a phaser in the loop, which both decrease the number of repeats. So to get a similar delay with a stock DD-3 you'd want to lower the feedback some.
Members peavey2112
those exact settings above produce about 6 repeats in half a second! this is what puzzles me
Members murch33
6 repeats in .5 seconds = 12 repeats in a second = less than 100ms delay time (if my math is right). That doesn't make sense if you've got it on the long delay mode with the delay knob at almost noon.
