No clue as to whether its from Japan or Taiwan, but either way they will sound the same, you just sometimes have to mess with the internal trimpot on the Taiwan versions. I'm going to guess its a Taiwan made one because they didn't take a picture of the back, but you never know. For one in that shape, I would go for it with the box and manual included.
