Members squareking
As much as I cringe at the very mentioning of a Dunlop pedal (especially a Dunlop JH fuzz ), I could use a Hendrix octave up fuzz. Anyone try it out yet? Or...anything comparably priced and sound better? EDIT: fOXX Tone Machine/French Toast does not = Octavia.
Members cruss.rma
Try the original, Jimi's Octave was invented by his guitar effects guru Roger mayer. The Original circuit is avaliable with Roger's Rocket Octavia, and a newer pedal with a tone control (like the one they used in the studio) called a Vision Octavia. Go to www.roger-mayer.co.uk to check 'em out.
Members Boron
I got one for cheap a few months ago, and while I'm no tone purist, I think it gets you pretty close to that ringing, glassy, octave up vibe. It's really a similar case to the Dano chicken salad - not identical, but for the money it does a really sweet job.
