Members Tone Eee
Alright, lets say I was jonesing for like a sixties garage fuzz vibe (Count Five, Chocolate Watch Band, etc), but was unable to achieve such with more modern (seventies through nineties, anyway) equipment, I was wondering just how retro my stuff has to be. Can a Russki Big Muff even make these early-decaying mild fuzz sounds, or do I need weak ass pickups, a ratty old Tychobrahe and a Vox amp? Howzabout a new Fuzz pedal--that would be most fun to buy or build, and cheaper to boot!
Members AbbeSauniere
Tychobrae wasn't around till the 70s. Get a Mosrite Fuzzrite clone, a Maestro or a Vox Tonebender. Any of these should get you some nice sputtery garage fuzz tones.
